Campus email list migration should finish early

08/04/2010

The migration of campus email lists to Sympa is going so well that Information and Educational Technology has increased the pace to about 375 lists per day, up 50 percent from last week.

As of noon Aug. 3, about 3,400 lists remained on the old Listproc service. IET is migrating lists on afternoons from Monday through Thursday. At the current pace, all lists should be migrated to Sympa on or before Wednesday, Aug. 18.

The campus began automatically migrating the email lists and archives from Listproc on July 20.

Read more about the migration here, and access the new service at lists.ucdavis.edu. Send requests for special handling of lists to sympa-migrations@ucdavis.edu, and if you need additional assistance, please contact the IT Express Computing Services Help Desk at (530) 754-HELP (4357).
