Student computer recommendations updated for 2014-15

The campus has updated its set of recommended computer configurations for students for 2014-15.

Information and Educational Technology teams with other departments each year to refresh the guidelines, which describe machines that should support students' basic needs for two to four years. The guidelines do not endorse specific brands or manufacturers.

The specifications cover such areas as screen size, operating systems, and printers, as well as what defines an obsolete system.

The site includes a list of top technology tips for students who will live in the dorms, derived from frequent questions that IT Express Service Desk consultants receive from new students each summer and fall.
